SC lawmakers recently passed a bill to provide $160 million in incentives to build a new headquarters for the Carolina Panthers in Rock Hill. This 20-acre, $40 million dollar building will bring with it a new interchange on I-77 as well as a phased development plan for new hotels, shops, and restaurants in the area which will prove to be a huge boom for the region. State economist estimated a total of $3.8 billion of economic benefits and 5,700 jobs related to the headquarters once they hit the ground running in 2022.

I think it is safe to say the pound of the panther is going to force South Carolina’s market to take a mighty turn.
